* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected. Total
snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35
mph on Friday afternoon and night. For the Wind Chill Warning,
dangerously cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 45
below zero.
* WHERE...In Iowa, Lyon County. In South Dakota, Turner,
Lincoln, Yankton and Clay Counties.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 6 PM CST Friday.
For the Wind Chill Warning, from 6 PM Friday to noon CST
Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches. The dangerously cold
wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little
